About us

Bertin Technologies develops measurement tools and instruments for scientists, to help them produce their science, or operational solutions for critical applications. The company has a complete control over the life cycle of its systems and products, from R&D to manufacturing and delivery of equipment and complete solutions. With state-of-the-art industrial and engineering resources located in France and Europe, Bertin is able to carry out its projects for critical applications, often under highly regulated conditions. Manufactured mainly in France and Europe, our equipment and systems are sold worldwide (55% of our turnover is from exports).

Bertin has kept from its history an exceptional capacity to develop new instrumentation systems, which we apply to our own products but also for prestigious customers (NASA, Airbus, Thales, EDF,…). Our offer can range from the study and consulting to the supply of high value-added equipment, or the design and technological development for third parties. Thus, our activity is structured according to 3 trades:

• – Technological development, Bertin’s historical core business
• – Industrial manufacturing of components, equipment and systems
• – Calibration and maintenance of solutions in operational conditions

To do this, Bertin Technologies has two clean rooms for integration in a clean environment: one in Pertuis (84) and the other in Aix-en-Provence (13). These two sites in the South of France ensure the production and integration of our components and systems in the field of optics and optronics.

Its site in Thiron-Gardais (28), with a surface area of 3100sqm, is dedicated to the manufacture of nuclear & health physics devices and is supported by a COFRAC-accredited laboratory for the calibration of these devices.

In Montigny-le-Bretonneux (78), Bertin has installed a biology laboratory for all its activities in the field of life sciences and biodefense, equipped for BSL2 microbiology, immunological (ELISA) and genetic (PCR) analytical biology applications.

From our sites in Fontaine (38) and Thiron-Gardais (28), our teams of technicians ensure the maintenance of the products, on the sites of our customers or in our factory.

Our Dieppe (76) plant manufactures our medical waste management solutions and laboratory equipment.

In Europe, our German site is dedicated to our activities in the field of environmental radiological monitoring and we have a site in Italy for the integration and sale of equipment for nuclear monitoring and radiation protection in Italy.

The headquarter of our subsidiary Bertin Exensor, one of the world leaders in unattended ground sensor systems, is in Lund (Sweden), with a sales and production site in the UK (Basingstoke).

Our subsidiary Bertin Environics is based in Finland at Mikkeli and has subsidiaries in the USA (Florida) and Asia (Kuala Lumpur, Abu Dhabi, Beijing).

Finally, our subsidiary Bertin Corp markets our Health & Life Sciences products in the United States, from its Rockville (Maryland) site.
